The A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co. consists strictly of volunteers who are always ready to commit their time and life to help both Girard and the surrounding communities. Dobler Hose is located within the Borough of Girard in Erie County, Pennsylvania. We serve not only the borough, but a large portion of Girard Township and its surrounding areas for mutual aid when needed. The A.F. Dobler Hose and Ladder Co. specializes in an extensive range of emergency situations including, but not limited to fires, vehicle accidents, emergency medical services, technical rescue, and much more. Our mission is to protect both the lives and property of those in and around our community!

Friday, January 13th, 2012 - Ladder Co. 549 In Service
Today, the recently purchased 75' 1990 Pierce Aerial Ladder was placed in service. The radio callsign for this new apparatus is "Ladder 549". Dobler Hose purchased the new truck in October of 2011 and has been working on decals, equipment, and customization since then. The truck was purchased from a New York Area Fire Department and is in great condition. Ladder 549 will benefit both Girard and the surrounding communities. The new truck will provide better safety for our firefighters. Before today, the closest ladder truck to service our area was the West Ridge Fire Department located in Millcreek Township. The truck will provide ventilation, rescues from heights, search and rescue, forcible entry, and much more. Please see the apparatus page for details on the new truck.
